(Integrated Recording & Reporting Information System.)

group homes, residential centers, and schools.

IRRIS Technologies is pleased to welcome Catholic Social
Services (CSS) to the AIRS Community! This Kansas-based organization needs to
integrate five separate databases, each of which tracks specific information
ranging from adoptive family records to donor records. CSS is turning to AIRS

decrease data entry duplication.
June 2005 - San Diego County joins the AIRS
Community
San Diego County (SDC) becomes the first government agency to join the
AIRS community. SDC comes to AIRS with almost 50,000 typed and hand-printed 5x7
or 3x5 file cards dating from 1949 that need automation. IRRIS Technologies helped
develop a system that starts with scanning each card then integrating primary
contact information into AIRS. AIRS software organizes the scanned card images
as easily as it stores family pictures. Soon instead of searching through
physical stacks of cards, SDC employees will be able to search on a client's
name and retrieve an electronic image of each card.
When the head of SDC clerical support was shown a beta version of the system,
complete with links to the scanned images, the first words she uttered were
"It's beautiful!" IRRIS Technologies is pleased to be able to help this government agency
automate its files to better serve its clients.
May 2005 - The Cradle Goes Live!
The Cradle, which completes both domestic and international adoptions
as well as having the oldest nursery program in the country, has joined the
online AIRS community! . AIRS Software allowed The Cradle to integrate its
nursery information seamlessly into its domestic and international adoption
information. To expand the usefulness of its information, AIRS now offers the
ability to track birth parent consideration of adoptive families as well as
each child’s presentation history.
After detailed data analysis and planning, IRRIS Technologies completed conversion of the
legacy system into 40,000-plus AIRS contact records. IRRIS Technologies
spent a week training over 50 Cradle employees so they were able to hit the
ground running the day The Cradle’s AIRS system came on line. IRRIS Technologies staff
created custom reports for The Cradle to provide agency-specific detailed
information tracking. With six offices in two states, The Cradle now uses AIRS
software to maximize its responsiveness to clients.
April 2005 - AIRS at the JCICS
Conference

foster care programs, The Home contracted with IRRIS Technologies to expand the system by
adding a new module CIS (Client Information System.)

(Integrated Recording & Reporting Information System.)
This powerful new system allows for providing additional support and
information tracking for children through out the agency.

track in the same database ‘enrollments’ into over 30 programs, including group
homes, residential centers, and schools.
March 2005 - AFIS has been implemented
It’s Here! The new AFIS (AIRS Forms Integration System) has been successfully
implemented with the National Adoption Center in Philadelphia, the first to
implement the new system. AFIS provides the tool sets to communicate directly
with NAC’s web site forms in such a way that the data collected through eight
various forms are transmitted into AIRS after passing secure checks. AIRS
duplicate checking system prevents data from coming in twice.
NAC is using AIRS to track their Wednesday’s Child programs in and outside of
the Delaware valley. AIRS automatically creates contact records for interested
families and cross references the families with children in the program. AIRS
automates communication nation wide to coordinate efforts. AIRS reports will
provide NAC and other associated groups with statistical and pipeline reports
as well. Call 888-313-9123 for more information about AFIS.

December 2004 - IRRIS Technologies awarded new contract
IRRIS Technologies has been awarded a contract from “The Boston Home For Little
Wanderers” to develop an agency program based on AIRS. The Adoption program at
The Home has been using AIRS since 2003 with great success – so much so, that a
“Contact Information System” CIS will be developed based on the AIRS platform
to manage the data needs of 32 other programs, including Residential and Group
Homes, Consultation programs, After School programs, Community Support,
Children’s Centers, Schools, Outreach programs, Substance Abuse Prevention,
Foster care and more.
This robust program will provide all the necessary data management requirements

reason were often known as China's Children. They were also one of the first

March 22, 2004 - AIRS version 3 raises the bar
for adoption software functionality
IRRIS Technologies today announced the latest release of AIRS-the
adoption information and reporting software. Being delivered to AIRS clients
this week, AIRS, Version 3 features increased functionality in virtually all
AIRS components.
AIRS Version 3 features a number of enhancements suggested by AIRS users. The
most significant changes include:
• The Contact Information screen has been redesigned and now includes virtually
all the information related to a contact on just one screen.
• Availability of all case related notes and documents from one screen. Notes
and related documents can be attached to or omitted from reports as needed.
Linking from one case to related cases is also a new enhancement.
• Agency created online forms can be customized using AIRS template models.
Online forms can be used to gather and report a variety of data related to an
activity such as social history.
• Using letter templates, personalized letters can be created for an entire
group of contacts such as all members in an adoptive family, a donor list, or
sponsors. Letters can be stored and attached to an individual or group and can
appear on a case management report.
• The My Task section has been enhanced to display task due dates with overdue
tasks listed first. All tasks are searchable using a variety of criteria such
as: open/closed tasks, start date, end date, placement stage, case worker,
program, sub-program and more.
Release of AIRS Version 3 ”raises the bar for adoption software functionality,”
AIRS is the most comprehensive adoption agency information management solution
available today, utilizing a web-based platform to make data management and
utilization efforts more manageable and more effective.
January 28, 2004 - AIRS version 2 spurs
IRRIS Technologies growth
Adoption agencies, historically an under served market, have at long last found
a software system designed to meet their data utilization needs. The software,
AIRS-the adoption information and reporting software, is a product of IRRIS Technologies
of Fairfield, Maine.
AIRS was originally developed at the request of Maine Adoptive Placement
Services (MAPS). Like other adoption agencies, MAPS required a software system
to meet its complex and dynamic data utilization needs. AIRS provided the
solution. “AIRS is an extremely easy system for users to understand.
Productivity is up, our training costs have been kept to a minimum and most
importantly - it is very flexible and user friendly,” said MAPS’ Karen
Prescott. From this beginning, IRRIS Technologies, in close cooperation with the adoption
industry, developed AIRS, version 2.
The warm reception given AIRS, version 2 by adoption agencies has spurred
significant growth for IRRIS Technologies. "AIRS
has earned the trust of adoption agencies because of its flexibility and the
simplicity of its design that helps them customize AIRS with little or no
outside assistance.” AIRS is the most comprehensive adoption agency information
management solution available today, utilizing a web-based platform to make
data management and utilization efforts more manageable and more effective.
